Classes and Groups
We run three popular groups, the Wednesday Group, the Portrait Group and the Life Group . In general no tuition is provided at any of the groups, but much support and encouragement is given. In addition we run some limited formal classes as the opportunity arises to source tutors. For further information check out our Art Classes page.
Exhibitions
We hold an annual exhibition and two one day sales where members can exhibit their work and members of the public can buy paintings, drawings, sculpture and craft work. Whilst the exhibitions are well supported by the local community, every year we have many people returning from much further afield. We also hold one-day sales in May and November.
Events
A wide-ranging programme of demonstrations and lectures takes place throughout the winter on Thursday evenings. These meetings help to widen the knowledge and experience of our members. They are also very social occasions.
There are also occasional outings and daytime workshops with a visiting tutor.
